Our Beliefs

"for we walk by faith, not by sight."

Whether you are new to Faith Fellowship Church or have been with us from the beginning, we are glad that you decided to join us. Our prayer is that you will sink the roots of your faith even deeper, and that you can find a home here at Faith Fellowship Church. Below you will find our fundamental beliefs.

Statement of Faith

  1. THE WORD OF GOD - We believe the Bible is the Word of God, fully inspired and without error in the original manuscripts, written under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, and that it has supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.

    2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:21; John 10:35; 1 Corinthians 2:12-13; Hebrews 1:1-2; Mark 12:36

  2. THE TRINITY - We believe there is one living and true God, eternally existing in three persons: God the Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit.

    Matthew 3:16-17; John 14:16-17; John 15:26; Hebrews 9:14; 1 Corinthians 12:4-6; Ephesians 2:13, 18

  3. GOD THE FATHER - We believe in God the Father, an infinite, personal Spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power, and love. We believe that He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men, that He hears and answers prayer, and that He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.

    Mark 12:29; John 1:1-4; Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 5:30-31; Hebrews 1:3; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Ephesians 1:17-20

  4. JESUS CHRIST - We believe in Jesus Christ, God's only begotten Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit. We believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, and teachings. We believe in His substitutionary atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension into heaven, perpetual intercession for His people, and visible return to earth.

    1 Corinthians 15:1-4; 2 Corinthians 5:19-20; Hebrews 7:25-27; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18; Revelation 20:4-6

  5. THE HOLY SPIRIT - We believe in the Holy Spirit who came forth from the Father and Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness and judgement, and to regenerate, sanctify and empower all who believe in Jesus Christ. We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells every believer.

    John 14:16-17; John 16:7-14; Romans 8:14, 16, 27; Ephesians 1:13-14

  6. REGENERATION - We believe that all men are sinners by nature and by choice and are, therefore, under condemnation. We believe that those who repent of their sins and trust in Jesus Christ as Savior are regenerated by the Holy Spirit.

    Romans 3:19-20; Luke 13:1-5; Romans 10:8-13; Ephesians 2:4-6; Romans 6:23; Titus 3:5-6

  7. THE CHURCH - We believe in the universal Church, a living, spiritual body of which Christ is the Head, and all regenerated persons are members. We believe in the local Church, consisting of a company of believers in Jesus Christ who associate for worship, work, and fellowship. We believe that God has placed upon the members of the local Church the task of giving the Gospel of Jesus Christ to a lost world.

    Matthew 16:16-18; Acts 2:37-47; Ephesians 4:3-10; Romans 12:5; Ephesians 1:23; John 3:5; Acts 2:41-42; Ephesians 4:12; Luke 24:46-49; Colossians 1:18; 1 Timothy 3:1-15; Acts 1:7-8

  8. SATAN - We acknowledge the existence of Satan, who is also called the devil. He, with his fallen angels who are also known as demons, is in continual warfare with the workings of God and His people and will continue this warfare until his final doom.

    Matthew 4:1-11; Matthew 25:31; Revelation 20:2,10

  9. RESURRECTION - We believe in the bodily resurrection of the saved and the lost; they that are saved to a resurrection of life, and they that are lost to a resurrection of damnation.

    1 Corinthians 15:21-23; 2 Thessalonians 1:7-10; Revelation 20:11-15

  10. THE ORDINANCES - We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ has committed two ordinances to the local Church: baptism and the Lord’s Supper. We believe that these two ordinances should be observed and administered until the return of the Lord Jesus Christ.

    Matthew 28:19-20; Acts 8:36-39; Luke 22:15-20; 1 Corinthians 11:23-33

  11. THE LAST THINGS - We believe in the imminent personal and visible return of the Lord Jesus Christ to earth and the establishment of His kingdom.

    Luke 17:26-30; 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18;
    2 Thessalonians 2:1-2; Malachi 4:1-3; Daniel 12:1-3; Matthew 24:15-28; Isaiah 13:9-11; Revelation 1:4-7

  12. MARRIAGE - We believe that marriage was ordained by God at creation as a sacred union between one man and one woman. We therefore believe that all sexual relations must be reserved for that sacred union and do not acknowledge any other kind of union.

    Genesis 1:26-28; Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:1-19; 1 Corinthians 6:9-11; Ephesians 5:22-33; Hebrews 13:4
